A month of practice for one small price
The free charts are yours to keep. If you want more structure, the Practice Pack ($5, about £4 · €5 · A$8) has a big chart for your instrument, flashcards, the 12 concert scales written for it and a 30-day plan with a practice log. It is written for players of any age, adults included.
Free means free
There is no email gate, no signup and no watermark on any of these files. They are static PDFs served straight from this site: click a button and the download starts. Print them at home, print a class set, photocopy them, put them on a stand — classroom use is actively encouraged.
The free PDFs stay free, forever. The classroom and studio packs are optional extras for people who want more ready to hand out; buying one helps fund the site, and nothing on this page is held back to sell them.
Letter or A4?
- Letter (8.5 × 11 in) — the US and Canadian default. Pick this if your paper tray came from a US shop.
- A4 (210 × 297 mm) — the default nearly everywhere else, and slightly taller, so a chart occasionally fits in fewer pages. This page puts your browser’s size first and remembers the one you pick.
- In the print dialog choose Actual size (100%) rather than “fit to page”. Each layout already matches its paper, and scaling only shrinks the diagrams.
- Grayscale prints fine. Pressed keys read as a filled shape with a heavier outline, so they never depend on color alone.
